Job Description
Founded in 1877, The Fresh Air Fund is an independent non-profit dedicated to providing 3,000 underprivileged New York City children with a summer camp experience each year.
We own and operate five summer camps in Fishkill, NY, and we are currently looking for waterfront directors at one of our five camps. We are looking for a Waterfront Director at Camp Hidden Valley, our co-ed camp for children ages 8 to 12, both with and without special needs. We are also looking for a Waterfront Director at Camp Hayden-Marks, our boys camp for ages 9 to 12.
Waterfront Directors organize and direct all swimming activities for the campers and supervise and train the waterfront staff in water safety and swimming instruction activities.
This is a GREAT job for anyone looking to get into education or non-profit administration.

Job Requirements
The Waterfront Directors must be at least 21 years of age, have American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and a minimum of three seasons of waterfront experience. A Water Safety Instructor Certificate is preferred.
